Self - Evaluation

To evaluate ones self  is to pretty much to put yourself before a mirror and look at "you". It's so easy to look at another persons "stuff", its so easy to look down on someones negatives ways, but i realized that we are no better. Matt 7:1 - 2 says to judge not, that you be judged not. for with what judgement you judge, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
Just as in work we get a progress report for our duty's, we need to do this to ourselves. To be upright and holy before God we need match our lives with the word. and when we do this we will see improvement in our walk with God.
So next time you see someone do something odd or not right, don't worry about it. Imagine if God showed us all the wrong things we did, we wouldn't even want to stand before him, but thanks be to God he has forgiven us for the wrong we do everyday!

1 John 3:2 (ESV) Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

I pray you're blessed by these words.

Do i trust God?

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. Ps 31:1

The psalmist says it so well. In you, O Lord, i put my trust. The definition of trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, strength of someone or something.
The testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2
When i woke up this morning i asked myself this, do i really trust God? I was thinking... yeah, of course i do! and i started to think, there are some things in my life i do trust god with and some i don't fully. I thought this topic to be important because sometimes we don't trust God to the fullest, and we really need to! When Jesus was crucified he said "Father into thine hands i commit my spirit" He said this to show us that in all things we must commit ourselves to God, no matter what the thing maybe... he's was on the brink of death, he could of killed all the men that killed him, but because he loved us so much he showed us the right thing to do. Trust God, and when we do he will take of us and the problem. We cant just trust God to keep us safe or provide food, but not to deliver us from temptation or keep our finances in order. We need to put 100% if not 110% complete trust in God. This is what you call real faith, when it doesn't even seem physically impossible to get out of the situation your in, or if a gunman has the barrel pointed at your head(Being extreme), when you have faith that will move mountains... God will move for you.
So the question we should ask ourselves do i trust God in all things? I pray that you will be blessed by this word, and also please keep me in your prayers!

Stay blessed

Distraction's

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1

Distractions... we are surround by them and as much as these distractions can help us, they can also hinder us greatly in the physical and also in the spiritual realm. Take for example the computer a great tool for studying for school, work and even the word of God, but once turned around we see that this object of use becomes a huge time waster. That one video you were going to watch on you tube for 5 or so minutes becomes an hour... and then another hour until you realize you wasted about 3 hours do nothing important.

The enemy loves distractions and you may say "why so?" Because once you are distracted you forget about the important things, like serving God. When we forget about about serving God there's a huge problem, we don't get our proper sustenance for our spiritual body which causes spiritual malnutrition. I have been going on about how dangerous distractions can be, but how do we re-establish control? First off we need to acknowledge our problem, and bring it before God and ask him to assist us in re-establishing control. We need to understand that our flesh is very weak!
Roman 8:2-3 says For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.
The way to deal with this flesh is to focus on the Godly and not the fleshly (distractions around us). Now this is easier said then done, I myself am working on this, I am not perfect, i am just here to encourage us to center our lives around God, and not the things around us. Knowing our God is an awesome wonder it is so possible for him help us re-establish control in our lives, this comes by making plans through out the day to spend with him we all have differing schedules so see when you have that free time, and instead of sitting on the couch give that time to God. I pray you are encouraged by this God given word!

God bless fam

Don't let your environment dictate your praise!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I feel led by God to part this word before you. Do not let your environment or conditions dictate your praise to God. Why do i say this? Because in most cases our environment has a negative or positive impact on us in the physical and also the spiritual. We all come from different roots, some have it alot easier than others, and well others have it really tough, where they feel  stuck in their situations of life, everyone is against you, nothing seeming to go right and so on.

The dictionary defines environment as the surroundings or conditions a person or thing inhabits. What i want to get through to us is that our environment can heavily impact our outlooks on life, and what we do later in life. As you notice a child that grows up with a loving family will most likely prosper later in life, and learn many valuable lessons. But a person that grows up in a abusive house hold will most likely turn out to be a menace to society. This is not always the case but we see how important our environment can be. And this what the devil use to cripple our praises to God. Even though our surroundings and conditions are are not so great we can take solace in the fact that God will keep us no matter the condition.
Isaiah 43:2 says When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isn't this proof enough that God will keep us? The song writer says Some through the water, some through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood. This is why i want to encourage us all to keep the faith, to stay strong and trust God. while the situations get dreary know that you're covered!

God Bless
