To evaluate ones self is to pretty much to put yourself before a mirror and look at "you". It's so easy to look at another persons "stuff", its so easy to look down on someones negatives ways, but i realized that we are no better. Matt 7:1 - 2 says to judge not, that you be judged not. for with what judgement you judge, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Just as in work we get a progress report for our duty's, we need to do this to ourselves. To be upright and holy before God we need match our lives with the word. and when we do this we will see improvement in our walk with God.
So next time you see someone do something odd or not right, don't worry about it. Imagine if God showed us all the wrong things we did, we wouldn't even want to stand before him, but thanks be to God he has forgiven us for the wrong we do everyday!
1 John 3:2 (ESV) Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
